Elizabeth Florence
SCA (WA) Board Member
Elizabeth is Founding Director of Abode Strata Management which commenced in 2004.
She has a diverse range of experience, qualifications, skills, and experiences, with over 30 years in Hospitality and Senior Management in Industrial Recruitment. Commencing as an apprentice chef in Sydney, she progressed to various hospitality positions running restaurants, boardroom catering and then teaching hospitality.
As a new mum, she studied management and transitioned to Industrial Recruitment, moving her way up to Business Unit Manager roles in Sydney where she was offered the role of State Manager in Perth.
Owning her own business was a dream to Elizabeth, so when an opportunity rose in 2004, she made the leap from the safety of her corporate role to Abode Strata. Elizabeth would like to see members positioned in a way that will avoid disruption and industry takeovers by having a common goal, adopting best practices, and increasing education standards and qualifications to ensure SCA (WA) is recognised as the leading professional body and the "Voice of Strata".

To improve the governance of SCA (WA), all Board members have for disclosure of conflict of interest completed a Register of Interests. Also, to reinforce what is implicit in being a Board Member they have signed a Duties & Responsibilities of Board Members. Further, Board has adopted a Code of Professional Conduct for Council Members, similarly to the way SCA (WA) has standards for members.
