Strata Community Association (WA) (SCA (WA)) invites expressions of interest from accomplished individuals for an appointed board position.
SCA (WA) is the professional body representing the interests of the strata sector in WA. Providing education, advocacy, and support to strata managers, service providers, owners, and stakeholders within the strata community. A not-for-profit member-based organisation, representing approximately 1,500 individuals within the strata community network in Western Australia.
This volunteer role requires a commitment of approximately three hours per week, including attendance at Board Meetings and events.
Qualifications and Areas of Expertise:
The Board, following a recent skills assessment, seeks candidates to enhance and complement its composition, particularly those with expertise in the following areas:
Marketing and Communications: SCA (WA) is poised to launch impactful marketing campaigns, emphasizing the professionalism and benefits of having an SCA (WA) Member manage properties. Individuals with experience and proficiency in guiding strategic marketing initiatives are highly sought after.
Advocacy & Government Relations: SCA (WA) aims to bolster government relations and stakeholder engagement to further promote the strata profession's work and interests.
Appointment Details:
Appointed roles for SCA (WA) have a two-year term, with the option for reappointment for an additional two terms.
Membership in the association is not mandatory for appointed positions; alignment of skills and attributes with the association's needs takes precedence.
